Gucci to Launch Exclusive MR PORTER Collection
A 43-piece menswear capsule.
Alessandro Michele is launching Gucci‘s first menswear capsule collection with Net-A-Porter‘s MR PORTER on May 18. Coming a year after Gucci’s first collaboration with Net-A-Porter, the forthcoming 43-piece collection will offer ready-to-wear garments, shoes and accessories that will appeal to a wide range of customers. “There is something for each type of MR PORTER customer. The logo print hoodie and tees appeal to the younger, more urban guy, while a classic Horse-bit loafer will last and wear a lifetime for the discerning, slightly older one,” says MR PORTER managing director Toby Bateman.
Gucci’s heavy embroidery, animal themes motifs, rich hues, bold patterns and plush textiles will manifest on a variety of items priced between $200 USD to $3,350 USD. Each piece will feature a yellow Gucci label unique to the exclusive capsule collection.
Standout pieces include “a lilac fil coupé shirt, a wool jacquard bee crewneck sweater, a blueberry-colored technical jersey jacket with paisley print and an embroidered tiger, and a pair of Horsebit loafers in a GG wallpaper print in mimosa.” Essential basics such as denim jeans and T-shirts will offer more casual options to round out the collection.
