After releasing a super clean white and red edition, adidas Originals continues to give its NMD_R2 model some love by releasing eight new colorways for Spring/Summer 2017. As usual, the popular model sees a streamlined Primeknit upper, sock-like collar and crisp white BOOST midsole without the original NMD stability blocks. The new colorways include a navy base with white polka dots; a black base with white stripes; dark gray base with black stripes; peach base with white stripes; tonal navy stripes; tonal olive stripes; and tonal off-white stripes. Some models feature a red/orange heel tab accent, while others boast a tonal polka dot leather heel counter. The navy polka dot NMD_R2 features a suede leather heel tab and heel counter, and is a women’s exclusive. The new adidas Originals NMD_R2 will retail for $1,400 HKD (approximately $180 USD), with the women’s exclusive polka dot colorway going for $1,700 HKD (approximately $219 USD). All models will be released on April 6 online and in-store at adidas Originals stockists.
