COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus Deconstructs the Classic Trouser
Truly avant-garde.

For its 2017 spring/summer collection, COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus deconstructed the classic trouser. Inspired by Hans Christian Anderson’s epic fable, The Emperor’s New Clothes, designer Rei Kawakubo used a deconstructionist approach to offer an avant-garde take. By shifting the placement of panels to reposition the hemline and waistband, Kawakubo created a pair of pants that commands attention and challenges the idea of fashion. Available in black and navy retailing at $615 USD, COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus’s unconstructed trouser is available now at retailers such as UNION LA.
