Having first previewed what was then known as the BlackBerry Mercury last month, official images of the device’s final version have been released following its unveiling at the Mobile World Congress. Now known as the BlackBerry KeyOne, the communications company in collaboration with Chinese electronics giant TCL Corporation set about creating a smartphone that centered around BlackBerry’s signature QWERTY keyboard. Sitting just below the 4.5″ x 3:2 aspect ratio screen is the newly formatted touch-sensitive keyboard allowing users to scroll through pages without having to touch the screen itself. Powered by Android 7.1 Nougat, the new device will also feature a sleek aluminum-fabricated body, a Gorilla Glass 4 front, 1620 x 1080 resolution, and 32GB storage space amongst others. Priced at $549 USD, the new BlackBerry KeyOne is slated for an April release.
