Spring 2017 is the beginning of a new era for ASICS Tiger as it introduces knit material to its GEL-KAYANO TRAINER. The sneaker, which has been ASICS’s flagship silhouette and a go-to for runners from around the world for over 20 years, gets a minimalist makeover that keeps the stripe branding from the OG but updates the shape and feel for today. Maintaining its proprietary GEL-cushioned sole unit, the upper is replaced with a knit textile designed to provide the stability and support that ASICS has built its reputation on. In addition to the rebirth of the GEL-KAYANO, ASICS is also introducing a mid-top sock version of the sneaker known as the GEL-KAYANO TRAINER Knit MT. The taller lifestyle silhouette boasts futuristic lines and a snug fit on the ankle for a contemporary urban look.

Get a feel for the new ASICS Tiger silhouettes, as worn by OVO-signed, Toronto R&B duo Majid Jordan, in the photos and video above and below. Look out for a rainbow of 10 colorways of the GEL-KAYANO TRAINER and two monochromatic iterations of the GEL-KAYANO TRAINER MT to drop on February 24 for $150 USD.
