For the Fall/Winter 2017 season, visvim released an unusual whistle necklace inspired by the communication device used by police officers before the advent of personal radios. Continuing its exploration of workwear and antiquated items, Hiroki Nakamura’s label looked to turn a piece of law enforcement history into a wearable accessory. Drawing from the design of the legendary Acme Thunderer whistle, visvim’s Law Enforcement Whistle necklace features a brass construction with a weathered finish attached to a rawhide rope string.
Priced at $250 USD, visvim’s Law Enforcement Whistle necklace is available now at Idol Brooklyn. Also, visvim recently spotlighted the intricate dyeing process of traditional Tairyo-bata flags in its latest dissertation.
