Last week Elon Musk sent much of California into a panic when he set off one of the biggest alien hoaxes in recent years with his SpaceX Falcon 9 launch. Taking off from Vandenberg Airforce Base on the California coast, the launch blew up the internet as many took to social media to share the event unfold.

Now that all the alien news regarding the event has died down, we can begin to enjoy Musk’s display of technological advancement. Thanks to photographer Jesse Watson who learned of the launch a few days prior, we can watch the Falcon 9 take to the sky in a 40-second time-lapse video. The video highlights the display of human ingenuity while highlighting the beautiful sky art that the rocket left when it stunned the world. Watch the stunning time-lapse video of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launch above and let us know what you think.
