Arriving just in time for the holiday season, classic anime film Akira has released a 35th anniversary hardcover box set. The box set features the original Japanese art along with a right-to-left reading format — a first for the series. Presented in six hardcover volumes, the set also includes the hardcover Akira Club art book and an exclusive patch with the iconic pill design.

The Katsuhiro Otomo-created anime/manga has become one of the most acclaimed and influential comics of all time — with the first chapter landing back in 1982 — and still remains a touchstone for artists, writers, filmmakers and fans all over the world. Head over to Amazon to purchase your set now.
