Rare Raf Simons Pieces Will Be on Display at Exhibition About 1980s Northern England
Alongside work from Nick Knight and Virgil Abloh.

This weekend, the Northern England-inspired Lou Stoppard and Adam Murray exhibition North will debut at Liverpool’s Open Eye Gallery. Centered exclusively around the arts and culture of 1980s Northern England, North will showcase a rare Raf Simons piece from the acclaimed FW 2003 Control line, photography from Alasadair McLellan and Jamie Hawkesworth, work from Glen Luchford and Nick Knight, a project from Virgil Abloh and designer Ben Kelly and more. Each part of the North exhibit will take its inspirational cues from the most historically-significant aspects of the styles of Eighties Northern England.
You can head on over to SHOWstudio’s website and Open Eye Gallery’s official page to find out more about North, its influences and the times it will be available for checking out. A North-themed SHOWstudio interview with adidas brand consultant Gary Aspden can be viewed below.
