Take a Look at the World's Most Futuristic Pharmacy

Of course it’s in Japan.

Studio KTX archiLAB has given this dispensing pharmacy, located in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan, a new and futuristic look. When deciding on the design, KTX noted that the primary reason people visit pharmacies is to heal and that is commonly associated with natural elements such as trees, green walls and flowers.

However, KTX argued that what actually puts visitors at ease is the idea that the medical treatment you’re receiving is cutting-edge, which led to the design you see here. Using advanced medical care as a template, the façade is fully glazed and the interiors solely use a minimal pure white while the building is lit with indirect lighting slits.

Take a look through the gallery to see more of the space.
