Gameplay Footage From 'Friday the 13th: The Game' Shows the Capabilities of Jason Vorhees

If the recently passed Friday the 13th wasn’t as exciting as you had hoped, there is good news on the horizon and it comes in the form of a gameplay trailer for Friday the 13th: The Game. Currently in development by Gun Media using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4, the game has raised nearly 2 million USD through crowdfunding. The game will allow you to take control of the iconic slasher villain to slowly stalk camp counsellors through an eerie map of Camp Crystal. What the new gameplay video reveals that it is actually impossible to outrun Vorhees, as he can teleport forward to always keep his victims close to his machete. For the remaining players, their role is to control the fleeing victims, which are each designed according to their to their stereotypical ’80s archetypes. So whether playing as the jock or the girl-next-door, you must work together to stay alive, proving that this will be quite a unique experience.
