Snapchat's 10 Second Video Glasses Are Coming
The startup’s first foray into hardware.
After being rumored for quite some time, details about Snapchat’s first foray into hardware have finally been revealed. According to The Wall Street Journal, the video glasses dubbed “Spectacles” will receive a limited release this fall at $130 USD in black, teal and coral. The glasses that sync up wirelessly with the popular Snapchat app will feature a 115-degree lens that will capture videos when the user taps a button on the side of the glasses. Videos captured with the glasses will be circular and 10 seconds long just like on the app offering users an alternative sharing experience.
