'London Town' Biopic Presents Captivating Portrayal of The Clash
‘Stonewall’ actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays iconic lead vocalist Joe Strummer.
Director Derrick Borte takes on the legendary punk rock band, The Clash, in his new biopic called London Town. This coming-of-age movie doesn’t necessarily focus on lead vocalist Joe Strummer, but allegedly culls a plethora of scenes in the film that features the iconic frontman played by Stonewall actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers. In general, the drama shadows a 14-year-old boy (Daniel Huttlestone) whose life suddenly takes a 360-degree turn after encountering the band for the first time. Other than The Clash, the movie soundtrack gleans songs from The Stranglers, Toots and the Maytals, Stiff Little Fingers and Buzzcocks.
London Town is slated to hit theaters this October 7. Watch the clip above and let us know your thoughts.
