Watch the Mystical First Trailer for 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'
Bringing back the original ‘Harry Potter’ score for a nostalgic kick.
J.K. Rowling gave viewers an inside look at her most anticipated Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them last November. Since then, a bevy of teaser trailers surfaced, offering glimpses into a mystical world that takes place decades before the birth of the young boy wizard. This time, the folks over at Warner Bros. and Heyday Films released the first official trailer for the David Yates-directed film that stars actor Eddie Redmayne as a magical animals guru named Newt Scamander. The nearly three-minute clip above is approximately ten seconds longer than the longest teaser trailer and offers a more in depth look at the plot and characters that will be featured in the movie. Not to mention, the original Harry Potter score returns for an awesome kick of nostalgia.
As a whole, the CGI-packed film presumably poses the question of whether or not American wizards should make themselves known to “non-majes” (non-wizards). Scamander and his squad also come face to face with an extremist organization called the New Salem Philanthropic Society helmed by a partially silver-haired Colin Farrell. Take a look at the trailer above and expect Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to hit theaters on November 18.
