Nissan's "ProPILOT Chair" Will Automatically Queue in Line for You
The real question is, will it be coming to a sneaker shop near you?
Earlier today, Nissan released a video detailing its latest concept dubbed the “ProPILOT Chair.” The device was made to help ease the stress of the everyday lives of consumers—specifically those who spend hours upon hours standing in line outside a particular store. As illustrated in the clip, a set of the innovative chairs will automatically and seamlessly queue their occupants on line. It detects the chair ahead of it and retains a certain distance as it moves along a predetermined path. According to PR Newswire, the idea was culled from the Japanese car manufacturer’s newest ProPILOT technology—which is featured on the Serena minivan that made its debut in Japan this past August.
Folks will not be able to purchase the slothful robot chair for themselves per se, but Japanese restaurants are currently eligible to rent them out via hashtagging particular phrases on Twitter, including “#NissanProPilotChair,” “#Wanted” and “#NissanProPilotChair.” The free rental campaign on social media will start this September 27 up until December 27. Take a look at the video above to learn more about the concept and then watch the clip below to get an even closer look.
