Giovanni Reda Photo Exhibit Highlights NYC Skateboarding Scene in the '90s

Located inside Diamond Supply Co.’s store.

A new photo exhibition located inside Diamond Supply Co.’s Soho store showcases the works of renowned photographer Giovanni Reda as he captured the essence of the ’90s skateboarding scene in New York. Simply titled “Diamond x Reda Photo Show,” 30 colorful prints consisting of skateboarding legends like Harold Hunter, Danny Supa and Keith Hufnagel are all documented in historical locales throughout the city. Reda tells The Creators Project, “In the mid-90s, the NYC skate scene had a huge impact on the world of skateboarding. Every one of these images has a story of why it’s important. The styles these guys had combined with the trick selection of NYC as a background always adds to the photo.” Take a look at the images above and check out the exhibit on display now at the address below. To see more of Reda’s works, head over to his website.
