Elvis Presley's "507 Roadster" Gets Restored by BMW
Fit for a king.

The German automotive company has tracked down The King’s very own BMW, the one he used while he was a GI stationed in Germany, and over the course of two years, has meticulously restored the classic back to its original health. Only 257 of this rare BMW 507 roadster were ever built and it wasn’t rediscovered until 2006. This particular model has been driven not only by The King himself, but by famous German race car driver Hans Stuck. BMW has cautiously restored every little detail including the rebuilding of the 3.2L V8 engine. The restoration also includes a revamped front frame carrier, a period correct wooden nailing strip for securing the soft top, and an original feather white paint job along the exterior. Presley’s car will be on public display on August 18 at Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, California. Head over to the event’s site for more information.
