Donald Glover/Childish Gambino Details the 'Pharos' Experience

Donald Glover sat down with Jimmy Fallon to speak on his different careers, provide some funny anecdotes and more for the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. After recalling a particularly-entertaining dog-bite story, Donald Glover decided to open up a bit on his forthcoming studio album Pharos and its accompanying live debuts during his Tonight Show exchange. “I just wanted to do something different… I had all these songs and I was like, ‘I want people to feel like it felt to be in them,” explains Glover. Breaking down some of the backstory behind the Pharos shows, Glover says he just wanted to “invite everybody camping” and his entire crew agreed. “I feel like Joshua Tree is a very spiritual place, so I was like, ‘let’s invite people to this kind of world.’” Glover then told The Tonight Show that the entire Pharos live series is a vehicle for fans to check out his new album and “experience the world that it’s in.
