Update: It’s been nearly a month since Donald Glover took to X to share that he would be postponing the remainder of his final Childish Gambino tour. He went on to update fans on the platform yesterday, sharing that after his New Orleans show he was hospitalized in Houston to assess an ailment, which ultimately led to the postponing of the tour. After more testing, he realized that he could not continue the tour in time and had to schedule surgery. “My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase,” shared Glover. He concluded that he does want to bring the show to fans eventually, but will have to take the time necessary to recover.

Original Story: Donald Glover has announced that he is postponing the rest of his North American dates for his final Childish Gambino tour.

Taking to social media, he wrote on X, “Hey everyone. Unfortunately i have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. Hold onto your tickets. ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in North America when they are rescheduled. Thanks for the privacy. Thanks for the support. Thanks for the love.” Fans have shown their support for Glover as he takes a rest from the tour.

So far, the North American tour only has a month remaining, with the next date originally scheduled for Austin before heading to the West Coast and Midwest before its final date on October 3 in Chicago. The tour is also scheduled to hit Europe and then New Zealand and Australia starting in November through to February 2025. The “New World” tour is expected to be Glover’s final project as his Childish Gambino persona and it includes his latest album Bando Stone and the New World, an upcoming film of the same name and a re-release of his 3.15.2020 album.

The dates have not yet been rescheduled for the rest of the North American tour but it will likely be next year.
