It was only yesterday that the official photos for the Kim Jones x NikeLab collaboration were unveiled. In a conversation with i-D, the Louis Vuitton artistic director made a point to say it was an honor to collaborate with the brand, considering Nikes were something he used to beg his mom for when he was a kid. He also goes on to talk about his inspiration for the designs, explaining it wasn’t just travel that influenced him, but also youth. The colors of each piece reference old Nike Air Max models, which are meant to speak to today’s younger people. To carry this idea forward, the models featured in the collaboration’s campaign are all young and come from all over the world. For a closer look, check out the photos above. The collection becomes available July 23 online and at NikeLab retail stores.
