Banksy's Famous 'Graffiti Van' to Auction Later This Month
The first chance in 10 years anyone has had to see it.

It’s been 10 years since anyone has seen Banksy’s legendary Graffiti Van which debuted at one of his first exhibits “Barely Legal” in LA. The piece is an actual SWAT van, which the famed artist has repurposed for the sake of commentary. Painted on either side are his now iconic screen print figures — a boy about to outsmart a heavily armed SWAT team, and Dorothy lost amongst a layers and layers of graffiti. A defining piece in the illusive artist’s career, the van embodies both his trademark style and rebellious attitude he’s displayed since the beginning. Later this month however, the van will make its first public appearance in years to be auctioned off. Bids will be starting at £200,000-300,000 GBP ($300,000-440,000 USD).
