Hublot & Sang Bleu Introduce a Tattoo-Inspired Big Bang
Polygonal tattooing meets Hublot’s flagship timepiece.

After announcing their partnership during London Fashion Week back in February, Hublot and Sang Bleu have unveiled the fruits of their collaboration: a special edition of the Big Bang. Redesigned from the ground up, the timepiece makes use of Sang Bleu founder Maxime Büchi’s penchant for sacred geometry-inspired tattoos throughout. For starters, the case has been transformed into a hexagon with extensive beveling as facets give the design a tree-dimensional effect. Other details include a matte black dial with a wide black satin-finished circular flange, sculptural seconds counter and a hands-free dial — time is displayed through the superposition of three rhodium-plated octagonal-shaped discs. It even employs specially-created numerals from Maxime’s own typeface-design agency, SwissTypefaces SARL.
Limited to just 200 pieces, the 45mm titanium-constructed Big Bang comes complete with a calfskin and rubber strap and is available now from select Hublot dealers.
