Google has unveiled a new set of cases for the Nexus phone line, titled Live Cases. However, these interactive snap-on covers are not your run-of-the-mill cases. They’re designed with an NFC chip which allows you to sync photos from your album or detect your real-time location, resulting in an animated wallpaper as seen in the video above. The photo version allows you to upload any image and create a personalized slideshow on your screen, while the Places Live Case lets you choose a certain location and generate a stylized map. A shortcut button on the back of the case also provides the option of launching any app programmed to your choosing. Live Cases are available for the Nexus 6, 6P or 5X now via Google Store.
