A Tribe Called Quest to Honor Phife Dawg With 'The Celebration of Phife' Event

Two weeks after the death if former A Tribe Called Quest member Phife Dawg, his former group has revealed plans to throw a special gathering in honor of their late band member. Titled ‘The Celebration of Phife,’ the event will take place at St. Albans Memorial Park in Queens, New York on April 4 at 10:30 a.m. Further details have yet to be announced but it is rumored that the first 200 fans to arrive will be in for a special treat.

Meanwhile, the support and affection for Phife Dawg since his death due to complications stemming from diabetes on March 22 continues. Rap heavyweights like OutKast, Kendrick Lamar and more remembered Phife; Q-Tip turned his dedicated an episode of his Beats 1 show, Abstract Radio, into a two-hour tribute.
