Hattie Collins & Olivia Rose Are Publishing the First Oral History of Grime
‘This Is Grime.’

Thanks to the likes of Skepta and Stormzy, grime is still alive and well more than a decade after Wiley, Dizzee Rascal and Kano took the UK by storm. So it’s timely that the unique blend of hip-hop, dancehall, and drum and bass is getting its own comprehensive oral history: This Is Grime. Written by i-D music editor Hattie Collins, the 224-page tome features beautiful new imagery from award-winning photographer Olivia Rose as grime’s pioneers offer their own insights into the evolution of the British subculture over the past 15-or-so years.
Published by Hodder & Stoughton, This Is Grime is due out September 8, 2016.
