POW! WOW! Paints Austin for The Impossible Project at SXSW
Austin gets a new makeover courtesy of the likes of Jasper Wong and Esao Andrews.
Every year, the South by Southwest festival turns Austin, Texas into a veritable hotspot of creativity, which expresses itself in any number of mediums, not least in commanding street murals. This was led this year by a collaboration between POW! WOW! and SprATX, who were invited by SXSW to gather notable street artists from around the world to throw up some color on Austin’s walls. Featuring the likes of Jasper Wong, Madsteez, Fafi and Esao Andrews, check out some of the murals above, all of which were completed within the week of SXSW.
