POW! WOW! Hawaii 2016 x 1xRUN Print Collection

Last month POW! WOW! took to its hometown Hawaii for a week-long mural festival. Bringing together artists from various disciplines to Oahu, the event showcased the diversity in the current sphere of contemporary art, as artists collaborated on walls and the likes of jeffstaple, Estevan Oriol and Humean led workshops when the sun went down. Detroit print collection 1xRUN were also on deck, making their annual appearance via a pop-up exhibition at Lana Lane Studios. For the art show, works by participating artist such as Defer, Kevin Lyons, Lauren YS, Felipe Pantone and 1010 were replicated onto premium art paper via different techniques; from archival pigment print, gold ink letterpress to screen print. Each piece underwent a meticulous process, resulting in one-of-a-kind prints. Native Hawaii artist OG Slick took an extra step to give his Biting The Hands That Feed U series custom post-print touches.
