BUSCEMI Releases a Lavish Lookbook for Its 2016 Spring/Summer Collection
Unrestrained sneaker extravagance in all its glory.
BUSCEMI has made a name for itself with its opulent take on sneaker design, and to drive that reputation home, the brand has shot a series of lush images for its Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Titled “Permanent Vacation,” the lookbook portrays the hedonistic, half-naked lives of its presumably idealized customers conducted, of course, in BUSCEMI’s calf suede and lamb glove leather-clad silhouettes. Set against Chinoiserie-inspired backdrops and styled as Dutch vanitas still-life paintings, the sneakers are elevated as luxury items while unapologetically associating themselves with self-indulgence of worldly material goods.
