Phife Dawg of legendary hip-hop trio A Tribe Called Quest has passed away, according to DJ Chuck Chillout’s Twitter. The news has been confirmed by Statik Selektah and many veteran artists have sent their condolences to the 45-year-old emcee. The cause of the death has yet to be revealed but Five Foot Assassin has been fighting Type-I diabetes for years, which he was diagnosed with in 1990. Rest in peace and we send our prayers and condolences to his friends and family members at this time of difficulty.
