Imagined by Korean designer Jarim Koo, the “Banano” Portable Speaker was designed to offer the user an experience far beyond that of music. Purpose-built to be an astounding piece of interactive technology, Jarim Koo questions whether the connections made in our brains as a result of peeling a banana would translate into such an object and provide us with a completely different set of stimulus. As a metaphorical design expression, the Banano Portable Speaker features a conceptual, banana-like build with a peel-ready panel that will both expose the speaker and again conceal it respectively.
