'The Fate of the Furious' Trailer Pits Dom Against His Family
Blood isn’t thicker than water after all.
Just two days ago, the Fast Family gave us a first peek at the trailer for the eighth film in the franchise, The Fate of the Furious. Today, in what was a historic first for any film, the stars of the movie shut down Times Square in New York City to premiere the full trailer. In a little over three minutes, we are given a glimpse into everything we expect from mainstay characters portrayed by Vin Diesel, The Rock, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese and Ludacris, in addition to surprises from Charlize Theron and Nathalie Emmanuel — new comers in their first and second appearances respectively.
The story line focuses on Dom’s betrayal of his family which lands Hobbs in jail with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham). We follow the crew through Cuba, Iceland, and New York City as they hunt down Dom and try to figure out what exactly happened. If you thought the franchise couldn’t top a tank and military plane, you are in for a big surprise. Check out the trailer above and look for the movie to hit theaters April 14, 2017.
