Filmmaker Paul Franco Presents Visuals for “FASTbeat” With Help From Demna Gvasalia

Featuring a conversation between Franco and Vetements artistic mastermind as they discuss several key social matters.

In his latest project titled “FASTbeat,” acclaimed filmmaker Paul Franco set out to document his own impressionistic take on the concept of time. Set in Paris and captured over the span of a year, the short film captures an excerpt of a conversation he had with Vetements creative mastermind Demna Gvasalia. Starring model Sasha Melnychuk, the visuals aim to tell tales of how society — today’s youth in particular — live simultaneously on and offline.

“Today, we experience a lot in a short time span. I wanted to distort time to express this feeling and a fast information flux – we cannot grasp all of the images and have to focus on the slower pace of the spoken word,” explains Franco in relation to the the project.
