NEIGHBORHOOD Upgrades Grenson's "Triple Welt" Series
The iconic British shoe gets a modern look.
Grenson’s classic “Triple Welt” set, notable for its welted sole and craftsmanship, has been revamped by NEIGHBORHOOD‘s founder and designer Shin Takizawa. Both the Derby shoes and boots have been stripped of its ornate broguing, with larger punch details incorporated along the upper for a more contemporary form. In addition, contrasting white back straps were added to the boots, complete with an embossed insole bearing the duo’s logos. Both silhouettes are shown in black or brown calf grain leather.
“It has been such a pleasure to work with GRENSON who is known to make one of the most beautiful soles in the world — its signature ‘triple-welt.’ We’ve modified using the triple welt featuring half plain toe-sues and half wing-tip details with beautiful craftsmanship. The shoe is so perfect for both casual and formal wear, such an urban classic, I am truly satisfied with this
beautiful shoes,” quoted Takizawa.
The collaborative shoes are set to release globally on Dec. 1 at Grenson and select retailers in-store and online.
