Spanish right-back Héctor Bellerín has signed a new deal today with his North London club Arsenal which will last for another six-and-a-half-years. Bellerín has been with the Premier League club since the summer of 2011, moving his way up to first team back in 2013. Turning down offers from Manchester City and Barcelona, according to Standard Sport, the 21-year-old is expected to make £100,000 GBP per week (approximately $125,000 USD) for the Gunners. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had originally planned to delay talks with Bellerín given he had another three years remaining on his previous contract with the club.
In terms of other Gunners, talks with Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere, Per Mertesacker and Santi Cazorla will hinge on the rest of this season, with Mesut Özil close to a £200,000 GBP per week deal (approximately $250,000 USD).
