'Pokémon GO' Reveals Its First Ever In-Game Event This Halloween Weekend
Catch some spooky Pokémon and receive higher rewards and bonuses.
Those still playing Pokémon GO are in for a treat this Halloween weekend. In its first ever in-game event, users will now encounter even more spooky Pokémon to catch — this includes Drowzee, Zubat, Gastly, Gengar, Golbat, Haunter and Hypno. In addition, players will also get more candy as special bonuses, especially for those hunting around high-traffic areas where these “Halloween-themed” Pokémon exist. Prime examples would be receiving up to six candies per catch, two candies for every professor transfer, and four candies each time you Buddy level-up. All these expected rewards should get more global players excited to whip out the app within these days.
Furthermore, Pokémon GO‘s idea for an in-game event should be an effective one as it will surely get more users to want to keep exploring and hunting. The interaction element is also crucial for the success of game, and coupled that with holiday-themed occasions, it will be interesting to see how the app’s popularity will thrive.
The event will take place from Wednesday, October 26 until November 1.
