MYKITA x Maison Margiela Spring/Summer 2017 Diamond Glasses

Frequent collaborators MYKITA and Maison Margiela have come together again for the latter’s 2017 spring/summer womenswear collection with a co-branded pair of “Diamond Eyes” eyeglasses. Designed by Maison Margiela’s creative director John Galliano, the pair of oversized transparent build glasses are reminiscent of chemical safety goggles and feature diamond-cut lenses that give the wearer a distorted, if not slightly hindered view of the world. The range of frames from the collection signals the burgeoning relationship between the two labels and hints at more collaborative creative offerings to come. Look for this design to hit Maison Margiela retailers early next year.
