The iPhone 7 Plus's "Portrait Mode" Is Here
Shoot your sneakers like a pro thanks to the iOS 10.1 update.

Today marks the debut of Apple’s first major update for iOS 10, which brings the usual stability upgrades and bug fixes to your iOS devices. Apple iPhone 7 Plus owners, though, will be happy to know that the update has something special in store for them alone: the smartphone’s much ballyhooed “Portrait Mode.” Finally ready for the limelight after extensive beta testing, the mode allows the 7 Plus’s two cameras to work together for near-DSLR-quality imagery that provides a bokeh-like depth of field effect — all the better for snapping professional-grade shots of your latest pickups to post on Instagram.
iOS 10.1 is now available as a free update to those running Apple’s latest edition of the mobile operating system.
