President Barack Obama Gets the Netflix Treatment
In a new film titled “Barry.”
Before he became the President of the United States, Barack Obama was known to his friends as “Barry.” Arriving in New York City in the fall of 1981 to begin his junior year at Columbia University, the city was in a crime-ridden and racially charged state. As Barry navigates through his new environment, he also has to deal with his strained relationship with his Kansas-born mother and his estranged Kenyan father. Barry is the story of a young man grappling with those same issues that his country, and arguably the world, are still coming to terms with 35 years later. Make sure to catch Barry when it hits Netflix on December 16. In the meantime, catch up on Netflix’s Black Mirror.
