Watch Skaters Whip up Colorful Clouds in Slow Motion
Making a beautiful mess.
We recently showed you footage of the Red Bull team skating through Rajasthan during the vibrant Hindu Holi Festival, but it looks like great minds really do think alike: for the second installment in his “Chromatic” series, slow motion junkie and skate videographer Darren Dyk spent a week filming riders Jason Bastian, Jonathan Bastian and Ryan Thompson whipping up clouds of color powder as they skated flat-ground. The footage was shot at frame rates of up to 6,900 frames per second using the Phantom V12.1 high-speed camera and the results are as hypnotizing as they are visually stunning. For more, check out Dyk’s first “Chromatic” video, filmed with the legendary Powell-Peralta skate team.
