Built to take a serious beating.

Anarchist skate Mecca Babylon LA has called upon the assistance of NYC-based selvedge specialists 3sixteen for its first pair of jeans. The pair is based off of 3sixteen’s ST-220x model, using 14.5 oz. double black selvedge denim woven exclusively by Kuroki Mills in Japan’s Okayama Prefecture. The fabric was shipped to San Francisco, where the garments were cut and sewn. The denim features an exclusive leather patch design and an inside pocket bag that references one of 3sixteen’s T-shirt graphics that aptly features the word “Babylon.” The pants find juxtaposition between the denim specialists’ minimalistic craftsmanship and Babylon’s skate-punk mentality and graphics, resulting in a durable garment that looks crisp and can take a serious beating. The jeans are priced at $230 USD, so keep an eye out for the drop on January 28 at noon PST at the Babylon flagship store in Los Angeles and online at babylon.la. Check out the imagery of Trash Talk’s Lee Spielman, Cedric Grandberry, and Justice Tripp kicking it in a Chinatown alleyway above and make sure to revisit Babylon’s OFF-WHITE collaboration, as well as HBTV’s profile of the retail space-slash-skatepark here.
