Massimo Giorgetti’s latest menswear offerings for MSGM took a page out of Elizabeth Peyton’s books, or canvases, for that matter. The artist rose to prominence in only a few years, and her legacy is about to be solidified with a Christie’s auction slated to obtain over a million dollars. She’s known for her water-color portraits, which Giorgetti translated into bold lines and whimsical outfits. Clothes look rushed, matched with tousled hair and sneakers. Frayed hems and worn-in sweaters were donned under tailored coats. His youthful take on fashion is refreshing, and his own meteoric rise is one to note as well.
