Freshly unveiled at this year’s SIHH watch fair in Geneva is Audemars Piguet’s latest, Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked, which features the world’s first double-balance wheel escapement, working to self-regulate the effects of gravity in destablizing the balance. Sized at 41mm, the timepiece features an openworked dial providing a look at its intricate, hand-laid clockwork. Featuring a 45-hour power reserve and a 5.52mm caliber 3132, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel is available in both stainless steel and rose gold iterations.
