Universal Works and Saucony Announce Collaboration with Stop-Motion Video
Form and functionality come together in the ‘Work Pack.’
Universal Works and Saucony Originals are set to release a collaborative footwear line christened the ‘Work Pack.’ Known for its clean cutting and working class-inspired utilitarian aesthetic, Universal Works is “honest clothing based on fit and good design.” The two companies have announced the release with a quirky stop-motion video that highlights the materials used to construct the shoes. After raw components are dropped into the “machine,” the resulting reworked Saucony Shadow silhouette is revealed in all of its high-performance glory. The sneaker will be available in two colours: navy and stone. Both iterations feature premium suede and mesh finishings with a white mid-sole topped with Universal Works’ signature argon blue. The Universal Works x Saucony Shadow Original will be available online on October 3.
