Thom Yorke Premieres "Villain" at rag & bone 2016 Spring/Summer NYFW Show
A beautiful track that features a remix of DOOM’s “Gazzillion Ear.”
Among the recent buzz of New York Fashion Week surfaces some new music-related content from none other than Thom Yorke. Radiohead‘s lead singer/songwriter/frontman took to provide the soundtrack for New York-based label rag & bone‘s recent 2016 spring/summer runway show which premiered his new song, “Villain.” The eight-minute-long track begins as an ambient sound that is both haunting and ethereal. Yorke enlisted the help of 12 members of the Brooklyn Youth Chorus — a music collective of NYC students — who hummed harmonic chants while they stood behind a sheer curtain during the show. The track slowly progresses into a remix of DOOM‘s ”Gazzillion Ear,” also by Yorke, that overlaps seamlessly with the first half. A friend and regular collaborator of the brand, Yorke was also responsible for rag & bone’s 2011 and 2013 runway soundtracks as well. Take a listen to the track above, and explore rag & bone’s latest 2016 spring/summer menswear offerings.
