Flying Lotus Releases the Trailer for the Short Film 'FUCKKKYOUUU'
FlyLo teases his latest project.
Fresh off his WOKE collab with Shabazz Palaces, Thundercat, and George Clinton, Flying Lotus has shared a glimpse of his latest project: a short film. Scored by FlyLo, the Eddie Alcazar-directed FUCKKKYOUUU originally premiered at Sundance’s NEXT Fest while the official description of the project reads:
With the ability to travel in time, a lonely girl finds love and comfort by connecting with her past self. Eventually faced with rejection she struggles with her identity and gender, and as time folds onto itself only one of them can remain.
As Pitchfork points out, this isn’t Ellison’s first venture into film. Among other projects, he’s said that WOKE was inspired by a script he wrote some years back and he also scored the John Boyega-starring Imperial Dreams last year.
