Watch Spencer Seabrooke Break the World Record for Longest Free Solo Slackline
No guts, no glory.
On August 2, Spencer Seabrooke crossed the Itus, a piece of nylon webbing less than an inch wide to break the world record for the longest free solo slackline walk. The 26-year-old decided to walk the 210-foot gap at the North Gully of Squamish’s Stawamus Chief Mountain, but the element that makes this fete truly remarkable is that Seabrooke decided to do this without safety equipment. When asked about his thoughts regarding the extreme sports lack of safety regulations, he notes:
“I accept the fact that something could happen. But I would rather live my life doing what I want to do, instead of living in fear.”
