From her EP Por Vida, Kali Uchis comes through in feathers and pink, surround by neon for the syrupy heartbreaker, “Loner.” Shot in an abandoned, but fully outfitted drive-in, co-director and star Uchis said she was inspired by mermaids, call girls, and the super fox — Michelle Pfiffer’s character, Elvira — in the Quentin Tarantino film, Scarface.

“I wanted this music video to portray a strong sense of being very grown, content alone and feeling yourself.”
