Pyer Moss Founder to Show Anti Police Brutality Video at New York Fashion Week
Kerby Jean-Raymond is using September’s event to take a stand.
Kerby Jean-Raymond, the 28-year-old founder of fashion brand Pyer Moss, will use the unveiling of his debut womenswear collection at next month’s New York Fashion Week to make a political statement. Following on from Pyer Moss’ “They Have Names” T-shirt, released earlier this year to commemorate 13 unarmed black men shot by police in the United States, the brand will show a short film addressing race, racism and police brutality in America, and will feature NFL player Victor Cruz and artist Kehinde Wiley, among others. New York Fashion Week runs from September 10 – 17, more information can be found here.
