A week after releasing his latest project, Wave[s], Mick Jenkins has unveiled a video for EP cut “Get Up Get Down.” The visual for “Get Up Get Down” is the first video released in support of Wave[s], and serves as the first music video Mick Jenkins has released in 2015. The Chicago rapper’s new clip is directed by Nathan R. Smith and Sebastian Sdaigui, who shot the video in Chicago with “the idea of shooting something positive and motivational within the local community.” Speaking on the song, its video and its message, Mick Jenkins tells i-D:

“Get up is a charge to get out and do something. To make people put action behind their words. Thats what the kids are doing in the video and I hope it comes across and be understood that way,”

You can watch the video for “Get Up Get Down” above.
