Lord Street Warehouse by Richard Smith
Taking DIY projects to another level.

DIY home projects have definitely become more popular in recent years but one architect may have just taken the concept to the next level. Richard Smith recently completed the conversion of a car repair shop in Sydney into a beautiful home that maintains many of the original industrial aesthetics, while also mixing in some contemporary design elements. Concrete floors, modern furniture, and touches of wood and steel are juxtaposed with rugged brick walls and structural beams resulting in a stylish, yet cozy interior. Sliding doors allow for easy access to a private patio, which eventually leads to an open-air garage. Check out the stylish space above, and head over to the architect’s personal website to see more of his projects.
